Back in 1985 the phrase High Level Photography was chosen to indicate that our photography was from elevated viewpoints and is of top quality. Our speciality was, initially, Highway CCTV surveys and commercial property photography, where the services were, and to this day, in constant demand.
“High Level Photography” has become a definitive name for photography from elevated viewpoints. Other terms or names for this service are:- elevated photos, elevated photography, elevated images, photo mast, aerial photography – although this last term is also used for aviation based photography.
2007 saw a big change in the management of High Level Photography, Keith Hallam, founder of the company, decided to sell the business and retire to the far east. After some months of negotiations and handover the business was bought by Ian Leslie, the current Managing Director and shareholder, on the 11th October 2007. The business moved from Ripley, Surrey to a temporary base in White City, London, where it remained for nearly a year before moving to offices at Fairoaks Airport, Chobham, Surrey.
2008 Saw High Level Photography Expanded it’s fleet from 2 Mast Vehicles to 3 Mast Vehicles, It also saw us move from White City in London to Fairoaks Airport, Chobham, Surrey. This move enabled us to get easier and quicker access to the motorway network (notwithstanding the Car Park that is the M25). The move also brought our plans to provide aerial photography services a step closer. Being in the middle of and airfield would enable to us execute our aerial photography plans in quicker time.
Shortly after our move to Fairoaks Airport the worldwide economy went into near meltdown. Many of our expansion plans were put on hold and we continued to concentrate on our core business of mast and ground photography services to the commercial property market.
As the economy in the UK gradually got back to it’s feet at High Level we started to tentatively develop our ‘iced’ plans on developing our aerial photography and video filming side of the business.
2011 saw the launch of High Level’s aerial photography service, Utilising Twin engine planes and helicopters for aerial photographic assignments over London and a single engined Cessna 152 or 172 for photography assignments in the rest of the UK. Whilst flying around London and the UK an exenstive aerial photographic library has been built.
At the beginning of 2012 we expanded further by acquiring a fourth mast vehicle and taking on the services of sales and administrative personnel to assist in dealing with our expanding client base
During 2013 we introduced a Timelapse Monitoring service. Two timelaspe cameras were installed following construction of some building in Wembley
